What experience have you had with designing something for a client (even if it was a friend)? How did it turn out? Was there something that happened that you didn’t expect? What would you do differently next time?
I have done a few graphic designing projects for my friends. One of my friends had to do an illustration for her GE class, and she said she worked on Microsoft Word made her hard to do illustration. She asked me for help to use Illustrator and designing. She told me her ideas, so that I needed to make it better by using Illustrator. It was a simple design and turned out the way she wanted. We did not have that much for it, but I would spend more time to make it better and like try various designs next time.
Another thing was I designed my friends’ business. They had already selected a logo. My job was to design the business card using their logo. I designed a few different ones for them to choose from. After a couple of adjustments, they decided on one and had it printed for 100 copies. When they gave me the business card, the colors came out nicely that we wanted, but the text was too small than we expected. We should have done print it before we order them. I would do print to see my works before finalizing.
